Gridserve operates the UK’s most used EV charging network, supporting drivers and businesses with reliable charging infrastructure across the country. As the business evolved, the existing website no longer reflected the clarity, scale or dual-audience focus needed to support both consumer and commercial growth.

Yellowball was commissioned to design and develop a new WordPress website that simplifies the user experience, improves access to high-priority journeys, and better supports Gridserve’s position as a leader in electric vehicle charging. The result is a cleaner, more scalable platform built around ease, confidence and conversion.

The Challenge

Gridserve’s previous website had become misaligned with the direction of the business.

Key pages such as receipts, pricing and charger locations attracted high traffic, but the journeys needed to be simpler, faster and easier to navigate.

The challenge was to reduce technical complexity, communicate freedom of travel more clearly, and create a site that could serve everyday EV drivers while giving greater weight to B2B growth areas such as fleet, landowners, partners and investors.

What We Did

A streamlined website designed around drivers, businesses and charger discovery.

We created a modern digital experience that separates key journeys for drivers and businesses, making it easier for users to find chargers, access receipts, understand pricing, explore support content and enquire about commercial opportunities.

A major focus was the Find a Charger experience, using Google Maps and Greenflux data to support live charger locations, availability and site information. Across the wider site, modular WordPress templates support B2C and B2B landing pages, knowledge content, support journeys and marketing campaigns – all built with SEO migration, performance and scalability in mind.

The new Gridserve website helps users find what they need faster – whether locating a charger, checking pricing, accessing support or exploring business opportunities. Cleaner content segmentation, stronger CTAs and a more modern visual system create a more confident and user-friendly experience.
