Senior PPC Manager
After graduating with an English degree, I began working as a content writer for a digital agency. This began my interest in the world of online marketing, and I soon became experienced in the ever-changing world of online and offline SEO.
Hear from Liam
Through the collaborative working environments I’ve been part of, I discovered paid search advertising and decided that I’d like to focus my career on the various ever-changing PPC platforms that can be both challenging yet hugely satisfying.
Working in both agency and in-house roles has allowed me to gain insight into both B2B and B2C account management.
In addition to keeping up to date with Google’s many PPC qualifications, I hold a professional marketing certificate from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM).
Most chaotic/random thing on your desk right now?
I have this little hand-held lantern hanging off my monitor that I bought in Taiwan. It lights up when you shake it. Somtimes I’ll move my desk and it’ll just come to life. Surprises me every time.
If your vibe at work had a soundtrack, what song is track #1?
System of a Down – Chop Suey
PPC changes all the time. Some days are calmer than others, but then out of the blue there’s a sudden unexpected update that requires fast-paced, immediete attention. Much like the structure of a SOAD song.
If you had a superpower for work, what would it be?
Lightning fast speed would be my super-power. In contrast to SEO, results for PPC come through very fast and often you have to respond quickly to the changes.
What emoji do you use way too much?
Thumbs up. It’s a simple way to express a thank-you or recognition of a comment, but in a world with hundreds of emojis, with everything from elephants to aubergines, I should definitely start being more creative with my replies. Let the aubergines commence!
